Former-US Open champion, Juan Martin Del Potro arrived in Thailand from Frankfurt at 14.20 this afternoon with a big smile and cheerful face. The star player was welcomed at the airport by the ambassador of Argentina. Juan said before he leaving for the InterContinental Hotel, “I’m glad to come back to Thailand again after three years ago. Bangkok is a very beautiful city and Thai people are very nice. I’ll do my best in this tournament.”

Also arriving yesterday were Jurgen Melzer with his coach, and Ernest Gulblis who arrived with his father, coach and trainer. Gulbis told the waiting press, “I’m glad to be here again for this tournament.” He also gratefully received a welcome garland.
