This year the PTT Thailand Open is giving the opportunity for smart, confident Thai girls with a passion for sports to join the exclusive team of PTT Thailand Open Ball Girls.
In the past two years, the tournament has featured an exclusive team of ballgirls, drawn from the beautiful and skilled finalists in the Miss Thailand World pageant. The ballgirls have added colour and sparkle to the tournament and have proved popular with spectators and players alike. Because of the huge interest created by the ballgirls in 2007 and 2008 and the many requests received by the tournament, this year the PTT Thailand Open is opening the opportunity for all Thai girls with an interest in tennis to for sports to become part of the team.
Six ballgirls are on court during each tennis match. Their role is crucial in helping maintain the flow of the match, collecting the balls and passing them to the players. Ballgilrs need to understand the rules and regulations of tennis and the successful applicants will receive extensive training to perform their role efficiently..
The PTT Thailand Open 2009 will be held from 26 September – 4 October 2009 at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani. Leading the field this year is the world’s most exciting player Rafael Nadal making his first ever appearance in Thailand, plus defending champion and world #8 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France.
Applications for PTT Thailand Open Ballgirls are now open. Interested persons can apply by downloading the form here or fill out an application form at Lacoste boutiques at Siam Centre, Siam Square, Central World, Central Rama 3, Central Bangna, Central Pinklao, Central Ladprao, and the Emporium. Only 16 persons will be selected and the successful applicants will be announced on 10 August here on our website. Applications close on 31 July.

Qualifications
1. Female, aged 18 – 25 years old
2. Minimum height 160 cm.
3. Currently study in high school or college
4. Good personality, confident, and ability to cope with problems
5. Basic English communication skill
Application Details

- Attach one (1) full-length body photo and one (1) head shot
- Application period from 1 – 31 July 2009
- Submit the application form and photo files to info@pttthailandopen.org or at 8 specified branches of Lacoste shop
- Selected persons will be announced on 10 August 2009 on www.pttthailandopen.org
- Sixteen (16) persons will be selected.
Duties
1. Event’s PR representatives through TVs, newspaper, and magazines before the tournament starts
2. Ball girls during the tournament from 26 September – 4 October 2009
